The Christmas Program

Although it was a loooootttt of work, our school Christmas program turned out wonderful and was a lot of fun.  The kids really came together and did an awesome job!!  It was really fun to be a part of a true Christmas Program.  This was the first one the school has done since I have been there.  It took weeks of practice but it was all totally worth it.  Below you see the kids doing the ribbon routine.  This was my big contribution to the program.  I also helped choreography one for the Spring Program last year.  This is something I never saw myself doing but have had so much fun with.  The kids did such a great job, they made me so proud!!

Merry Christmas from Josh, Heidi, Buddy and Boo

Cookie Party

My mom and mother-in-law Karen both came to spend the weekend with us and help me with a special cookie decorating open house for my first graders. They helped me bake all the cookies and get the house ready the night before. The next day from 1-4:00 we had first graders coming and going, decorating and eating. It was a fun and memorable afternoon.

Emily's Shower

Emily and Aaron are getting married this coming Saturday!!!!  Several weekends ago I had a Lingerie Shower for her and we had so much fun.  Emily had a wonderful shower for me when I was getting married so I was very excited to return the favor for her.
It's hard these days (as we are all spread out over the country) to get everyone together.  Here's the AG girl representation at the shower.  Amy even flew in from Utah to surprise Emily at the shower.  Emily had no idea she was coming and her reaction was priceless!!!

Emily and her sister Amy
Amy helped me plan the shower

Marion wasn't able to make it to the shower but she sent a gift with Kami who taped a picture of Marion on the box.  It wasn't the same as having her there but almost... Just kidding Marion ; )

Happy Birthday Amy and Emily

Yikes!!

Wow, I haven't posted in a really long time!!!  These last few weeks have been soooo busy.  I have so much to blog about!!  I am so happy to be on Christmas Vacation, I need it in a real way.  I am excited to sleep, see family and friends, have Christmas, do all of the fun wedding stuff with Emily, relax and of BLOG!!  I have missed my blogging buddies!!!

Disneyland with the Family

For the first time in a long time, the whole Ambrose Family was all together.  It's so fun having a bigger home now because everyone can stay under one roof.  Matt, Rick and Karen got to our house on Friday afternoon and we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Lucky Elephant.  On Saturday we spent the day at Disneyland and had a really great time.
Here we are on Buzz Lightyear.  Who won????  I can tell you one thing it wasn't me, I am so bad at these things.  I did however discover a new trick, steering.  If I mess with the steering wheel, I can throw Josh off!! : )  That's more fun anyway!

Karen loves Whinnie the Pooh and she had never been on the Winnie the Pooh ride.  It's really cute!  Not really a thrill ride but a sweet and fun ride.
For years Josh has told me how his family always ate at the Blue Bayou when ever they went to Disneyland.  I had never been.  I always see it when we go on Pirates and think how fun it would be to eat over there.  Well, this time I actually got to.  It was really good but I think it's more the atmosphere that makes it all worth it.

A Beautiful Wednesday Spent at the Huntington Library

Last Wednesday the students had the day off and our administration took all of us teachers to the Huntington Library for a day of beautiful sights, delicious food and great company.  It was a very nice treat and great to have a day away from school.  Weird that it was in the middle of the week but hey, we take what we can get.  It is a beautiful historical library.  The owners were filthy rich and lived in a mansion which is now a really boring art gallery.  I guess it depends on who you ask but I found it really boring!  The fun part is all the really amazing gardens that you get to walk through.  Several movies have been filmed there because it is so beautiful.  It was used for one of my favorite moves, The Wedding Planner.  The seen where they are trying to pick out a statue to have at the wedding and it gets knocked over.

This bridge was used in Memoirs of a Geisha, they had to bring in special cherry blossoms for the movie.
Majide!!!  These are called Foo Dog statues.  Naturally we had to do Majide, although I think these are actually Chinese and Majide is Japanese... oops!!

At Noon we all enjoyed tea time in this cute little tea house.  When I say little I mean it!!  We were really crammed in there and it was a little hectic getting to the buffet but it was really delicious!

Yummy!!!  I love fruit tarts, my favorite!!
Yikes Caviar... YUCK!!  We had to try it though!!

How cute is Barbara with her sun umbrella in the English Garden??
How do you like that?  The Pavilion of the Three Friends, talk about exclusive!

Here are the San Dimas teachers in front of the Serenity Rock Garden being anything but calm as usual!!
