five years ago today...

It is truly hard to believe that we have now officially been married 5 years!  5 years!! I feel like that is a long time.  Some how, it has flown by!  A lot has happened in 5 years, we have grown up so much, we have been through good times and bad.  I am so thankful for all God has given us and taught so far and I just know he has so much more in store for us in the years to come!

Happy Mother's Day

Andy convinced me to come home for the weekend to surprise my Mom for Mother's Day.  He has a way of convincing me to do these things... not that I didn't want to go, I just wasn't planning on it.  I was really glad I decided to go because she was totally surprised and it meant a lot to her to have both of us there on Mother's Day for the first time in a long time.

I don't know what was going on here!

Mother's Day in First Grade

This year for Mother's Day the kids got to paint flower pots for their Mom's.  We were going for a polka dot theme.  They also got to make these fun little stick up flowers for the pots.  They just love to paint, I wish we had more time to do stuff like this in class.

Butterfly Cookies

Last week I made these Butterfly Cookies for a little girls 6th Birthday Party.  Her mother had some of my cookies that Keisha took to a class and contacted me to see if I would make some for her daughters Birthday party.  I thought they came out pretty cute, very little girl!

Sonrise vs. Arcadia

Last week Josh's soccer team played my school's soccer team at Sonrise.  It is hard for me to make it to most of his games because they play right at 3:00 and I usually can't make it in time.  I am always excited when he plays Sonrise because I can easily get to the game!!  Josh has been having an awesome season... as usual!  Of course ACS won but the Sonrise kids had Mr. A nervous there for a little while.  : )   I mean I want Josh to win but I also want Sonrise to give them a run for their money!!

The pre game prayer

The pep talk

The very serious coach : )

If you look really closely you can see that this guy has a cast on his arm.  He is one of the best players on the team and he broke his wrist and wasn't going to be able play for the rest of the season which was not good news.  Before each game he bubble wraps and duck tapes up his arm in hopes that the ref will let him play.  Apparently he has been able to play and that makes Josh very happy!  I was really glad he got to play in this game because it was fun to get to see him, he is really good!

Good game!!

In the end ACS beat Sonrise 1-0.  It was a very good game and I was glad to get to meet the kids and see them play.  It's always fun seeing Josh in his element, these kids love him!!  One girl told me "Mr. A is so funny!  He tells the best stories! He should write a book.   If he wrote a book I would totally buy it!"
