Our Anniversary Part 2

Emily cracked me up with her comment about my last post!  So, just to put everyone at ease THIS is what you have to look forward to at the 5 year mark (according to us at least)!  We decided to treat ourselves to a luxury get away weekend at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Huntington.  We had Monday off because of Memorial Day so we left on Saturday and came home on Monday.  We had a fabulous time!!!!  One of the best things we did while were there was the couples massage... so nice!!
We spent a lot of time relaxing and soaking up the sun.  This Resort is beautiful, every where you turn there are beautiful flowers, fountains and pools.  There were at least 3 different weddings while we were there.  We saw them setting up... beautiful! Everyone who worked there was super nice and made us feel really special.

This is a little nook that we would walk by on the way to our room, just a little place to sit, relax and enjoy the fire.

We had a gourmet dinner at the Californian Restaurant right at the Hotel.  It was really fancy and delicious.
Yummy!!!
We stayed right next to the Governor's Suite.  That room had it's own door bell!  We had a highly coveted ocean view room.  It was fantastic!!!
Here is Josh enjoying the view (and a Rockstar) right from of our balcony.
They have a bridge so that you can walk right across to the beach... you never need to drive anywhere.  We walked across and down to the pier.  The beach was pretty crowded due to the holiday weekend so we spent most of our time at the pool.
The view from our room! : )
So, I hope this makes Emily feel better! ; ) We had such a great time!!  We still can't believe 5 years have already gone by.  So much has happened yet the wedding feels like just yesterday!!

fun time! Anniversaries can be celebrated at home or across the world as long as you are together and still deeply in love (like me and my guy)

I'm posting this so late you may not even read it but if you do I want to wish you another 55 years together! This looks like a wonderful place to spend a special anniversary. On our 5th we went to Santa Barbara (we were living in Crestline at the time) and went to a concert at the S.B. county bowl. Really nice. I also picked out a gold band for my left pinky that I still wear to this day...27 years later!!
